WHERE ARE WE NOW?

These are the times where we are impacted by social media hysteria. Its effect on us is substantial. I should say that it has gone beyond control of how much we can bear to see or hear. Needless to say, even our moral values have started to degrade. More than the older ones, it has claimed the younger generation. And it just keeps on happening. There is no end to this.

You, me and the rest of the world failed to realize one thing. We kept on dreaming about our lives that it would be like we saw in television. I bet that most of us saw many movies that we made up our lifestyles just like it. We wanted girlfriends, good cars, good houses and good food. Slim bodies and being sexy was important. All the time partying was important. But never did we care for our health. Now later on, when life doesn’t come like we imagined it to be we are shattered.

We live in a world full of fantasies. What we hear is not real sometimes and what we may see need not be true. Majority of all the people have been tempted so much by the media now in such a way that we base our lives according to it. We are in a trap. And this trap was set by the devil himself. Why? Firstly, to create false delusions about how wonderful life must be full of comforts and pleasure. Second, to let us live on our own and not let God take control us. Why? Because he needs more and more followers. And this why we keep on falling. God is important. This earth and everything in it will end one day. If you don’t have God, you don’t have anything.

What I have been trying to say all this time is never let media affect your lives. When I told I had dreams and ambitions, they were all mine. I started to realize that even if I wanted to have someone special, it’s too hard. I too wanted love. But to find someone good is hard now. Especially after the impact of social media substantially so much on our lives. Now with one-night stands, I can’t imagine who will be faithful. Everyone asks me “Don’t you have a girlfriend?” and I reply them “Who is honest now?”. I need people who are faithful. It never matters if I am single. After all, I realised Jesus is your greatest friend. No one can match his love.

People have lost their integrity. And I hope that they revive it. Our fantasies are not going to change our lives. It is God who changes us. Only a portion of what we do impacts our lives. The rest is God’s abundant grace. Be it your promotions, your success in career, your house, children and everything else is God’s invisible grace. Take note of it. Only the Lord shall change you.

Allow no one to influence your life. Say for example if the other person says that if you don’t do drugs, it isn’t normal and starts making fun of you, just reject it. Why do we have to live our lives to satisfy people around us? If you are born to stand out, do it and show who you are. Never let go of your morality because it will be the last thing that can destroy your soul.

For the Bible says in Mathew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall be added to you”. It explains that once you have set your heart for Him,  blessings will automatically pour in your life.

Before I conclude this message, let me say to all those who are reading this ‘BE YOURSELF’. We are our own unique self. And we don’t need to be somebody else. We can be what God chose us to be and have a successful life. Why do we try to imitate? We can attain success by our own. Studies have proven that people who maintain a good relationship have lived longer. Eat healthier foods. Let us live our own lives and enjoy it to the maximum.

For the Bible also says “Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,”

Life is not going to be a movie for it has it’s own script.

Love and regards

Jerin
