A Path Through The Desert!

A Path Through The Desert!

with No Comments

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland –  Isaiah 43:19

I used to think why adversities occur in my life  – was it to make life meaningless or was it to think I don’t deserve anything? For days, I kept pondering of what life actually is. Why am I here? If I am here, then why is my life going down. I used to be a Christian and these adversities made me a better Christian. A believer can always profess about faith but unless he has gone through the ups and downs in life he cannot teach what faith is. Faith is what we hope for and certain of what we do not see – Hebrews 11:1.  When life is at a stage where the will to live has been lost, wake up and go forward with the Word of God. It is the armor that I wear, to fight back what I thought was impossible once. Now God has given me a new hope – a soothing joy in my heart to tell that everything will be restored. Yes everything will be restored!

God will pave a way through the desert and He will not let the righteous fall. I am yet to see the full glory of God but the years that passed by taught me a new thing every time. I am not in control anymore but God is control now. He is paving a way through the desert for all those who have lost hopes. It is no joke to be a Christian. I have realised that God favors those who follow the Word as it is to the last. Enoch walked with God, Samuel walked with God, Elisha walked with God. It was because their absolute dedication to the will of God was seen by Him.

God is doing a new thing and by faith we should be able to perceive it. Taste and see that the Lord is good – Psalms 34:8. Don’t give up now because you lost everything. He is still in control. He is walking with you through the valleys to clear the path ahead. He isn’t finished with you. He still has a plan for all those who love him. Keep up the faith so that in the end you will be rewarded for all the good that you do. Remember God is not done with you yet!

You may ask – God, how then are the lives of those around us far better than us? Jesus said that narrow is the road to heaven. Only a few enter it’s gates. Many try and give up in the first stage itself; God did not make us to give up. He will give the grace to reach the end but are we ready yet to confide in Him? HE has to see that we can withstand the pressure. He has freely lent us his shoulders to carry our burdens but the fact is we want to keep it to ourselves. Not only is he refining us like gold, He is making us better than what we used to be. I was only a Christian but to actually be one you have to have some bitter experiences.

When tribulations come, we must make sure of one thing. Hold on to God’s Word till the end. For he who perseveres to the end will be saved – Matthew 24:16.
