“Stop trusting in man, in whose nostrils is but breath, for of what account is he?” – Isaiah 2:22
I had a small issue while appearing for some medical tests in order to get a visa permit abroad. It was no cause for worry. I consulted doctors who were reputed in their fields and in the end two of them gave different opinions. It lead me to think – “Two different opinions and no one could find out the exact reason, God alone is my only way out of this.” I fasted and prayed about this and the results were amazing. I was healing soon. My Deliverer has delivered me out of this tiny thing which is an obstacle. This made me to think – “I need to trust God first rather than man.” This was a lesson that made me understand no matter how qualified people are to deal with you, in the end God overrides them. He has to reveal His glory among His creation.
Everything happens for a reason. Hadn’t this obstacle come, I wouldn’t have been closer to God. This made me clinch for His blessings even more. Jacob wrestled with God and God blessed Him. In the same way, I kept on praying constantly about my needs without losing faith. I was holding God tightly to deliver me from this unforeseen situation. Small problems can teach us a lot of things like to never be in our comfort zone. I felt God working in me when I went closer to Him than before during these times.
This blog post is not to say that we shouldn’t rely on doctors anymore but first and foremost ask God to heal us. Consult him on the matter first than anyone else. “Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts.” – Zechariah 4:6.
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” – Matthew 19:26.
