THE CROSSROADS IN LIFE

with No Comments

Long back, there was a man name Saul. The same man from the Bible. He had persecuted many Christians. He was the HITLER of his time. He killed many without any mercy. He had many connections with people in great high positions. Even the High Priest were with him. Saul never left a man alive whom he hated. You can refer to the book of Acts to refer more about him. He is mentioned in there. Let us check out what happened to him. h

Being a persecutor, God took notice of him. One day, as Saul and some other people were travelling to Damascus, God appeared to him  over there. A bright light shone over him in such a way that he could barely see who it was. It was Christ who appeared to him. God said “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”. Saul asked “Who are you?” “I am Jesus”, the Lord answered. “I am the one you are so cruel to. Now get up and go into the city, where you will be told what to do.” The men with Saul stood speechless. After this Saul was totally blind, he could not see anything at all. They took him to Damascus. Ananias was a follower of the Lord. The Lord told Ananias to go to Saul and Ananias placed his hands on Saul and he was able to see again. Saul was later renamed Paul after that. Paul was later trained by Jesus Christ himself. For three years after he had turned to Christ, he was taught by Christ. After that, Paul started his journey to preach the Good news about Jesus. He wrote many letters to the churches in Corinth, Thessalonica, Galatians and so on. You  can refer to the New Testament in the Bible to see them. Did you know that Paul visited up till the Third Heaven? He visited Jesus for 14 years in heaven, a privilege no one has received. He was taught by Christ himself. Just think. A privilege that no man has got before, a persecutor like Paul received it. Officially there are 12 apostles of Christ. Unofficially, there are 13. Who is  the 13th? Paul himself. So what do we understand from this? Christ is there for us and he forgives any sin no matter what we did.

Just think about it. We meet Christ at crossroads just like what happened to Paul. Most of us do. When a trouble arises, we realise that we are to be there for him. But some have already found Christ.   If Paul found Christ, then so can we. If Paul can be in heaven, then so can we. He was a man of such arrogance and yet he found Jesus, our Lord and Savior. So whom are you going to be with? With Christ or man? It should be Christ for he saves us and takes care of us. I have never seen a God as such who forgives us for every sin we have committed. Just think. If the Hitler of Germany had changed himself, how great it would have been? Now I’m laughing. Thinking about the two Hitlers. One changed, the other didn’t.

Are you an atheist? Or have you not found Christ yet?  You are not lost yet. You can still find him. There is little time left. So turn quickly. He’s coming soon. This message is for you. If you haven’t found him yet, he will find you one day.

We chose heaven or hell for ourselves. The consequences of what we do are judged by God. Either you are given Heaven for the good deeds you have done, or Hell for the inhumane, sinful or unforgivable acts you did here on earth. Remember God created us. So he has every right to judge us. We cannot change the way it is.

Remember, no sin is unforgivable except those that we do not repent. If we keep on sinning, then our sins won’t be erased.

May God bless you and your family

Regards

Jerin
