Happy New Year 2025

And it is a bye to 2024! We are starting a new year with the grace of God that sets us off to new heights and new seasons. In 2024, things may have been different for you. There may have been ups and downs. In 2025, it can all turnaround. Nothing has to be the same as it was. God can change things around this year in His time. It’s all about time and God’s timing makes a difference. His grace simply takes us where we need to be.

As we approach new year’s eve, let’s reflect on the promises God has given us. Every promise is a definite promise that is sure to come. It is a time-bound, patient process that proves God is always faithful to the end. Often, the worry is that we lose time in the process. In reality, God is ahead of where we want to be and he has already opened the doors. In Isaiah 45, he proves it. He has broken doors and cleared paths way ahead of us. This enables us to walk through those valleys easily without stepping over. God’s ways can outmatch our thoughts. And he does it all the time.

Throughout the year, you may have faced struggles and challenges, but looking back on the promises of God can be a reminder that He is always with us. This new year can provide a fresh start and an opportunity to focus on what God has for you in the coming days. Remembering God’s faithfulness can be reassuring. And it keeps our hope alive that will strengthen us at all times. There may have been losses in your life. But God can surely go above and beyond to give you back what you lost. God isn’t allowing anyone to fail. He is setting them for future victory.

God has a life of victory in his plan. His plans are way beyond our own. To reassure his victory, we must embrace a life of surrender.

Here are a few things we can do in the new year 2025 to enhance your walk with the Lord:

A. Surrender your life to God

Surrender can feel make us feel little. But it is the way to victory. It has a key role in upgrading our spiritual life. There is no christian life without surrender because that is how we are victorious. Surrender yourself, your thoughts, your mind and your whole body to the Lord. And you will see how much he can do in a day than we could have done in a year.

This is the power of surrender. Surrendering ourself means that we prioritise God’s actions above our own. And for God to act accordingly, he needs our complete approval. Otherwise, He isn’t acting at all. God has given us all the free will in the world to act in our ways. God needs all of us, not just a part of us.

B. Seek the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God himself. In the spirit, he is the Holy Spirit that guides us, counsels us and teaches us where we need to be. God sent us His Spirit so that we can have a personal counsellor. That is who He is. The Holy Spirit is our guide to eternity.

Imagine a life without God. It would be dry. That is what it feels like living without the Holy Spirit. In John 14:26, Jesus mentions the Holy Spirit who will be a guide and an instructor to us. He will keep watch over us and instruct us in the way we should go.

C. Walk in His Presence

If there is anything more I have to say, it is that we have to walk in God’s presence. Walking in God’s presence is no secret thing. It is not something that only the divine apostle or prophet can do.

We can simply walk with him by talking with him. There are other ways too. There is nothing special in anyone. God walks with those who walk with him. I like how Enoch walked with God and for three hundred years he was consistently with him until one fine day, where God took him to be in His Holy Presence forever (Read Genesis 5:24).

I guarantee you that in 2025, these three points will make a difference in your life as soon as start practicing them. No one has started to live a life of victory without these three things. God wants us to surrender and to seek his presence so that we will walk with him the rest of our lives.

May this new year be more blessed for you, your family and your friends in the name of Jesus. I wish you a Happy New Year and I proclaim that the seasons in your life will change at the right time. God is always faithful.
